Credit card theft from motor vehicle in Heidelberg

Banyule Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance after credit cards were stolen from parked vehicles in Heidelberg, Victoria Police say.

It is believed a male broke into two vehicles parked on Darebin Street and Rosanna Road about 4pm on 13 June.

The offender was disturbed and ran off into Heidelberg Park with a purse containing credit cards.

The man is percieved to be Caucasian, 175cm tall, thin build with a beard and was wearing a black hooded jumper and khaki shorts.

Investigators would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the man loitering in the area.
