Credit card used after theft from car in Chadstone

Monash Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance after a stolen credit card was used to purchase goods in Mount Waverley earlier this month, Victoria Police say.

The credit card was stolen after thieves broke into a car parked in a Chadstone driveway overnight on 17 July.

The stolen card was then used to purchase cigarettes and an ice-cream at a Mount Waverley service station just before 5am on 18 July.

Investigators have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
