Lake Macquarie City Council
Council crews are responding to tree branches falling onto Freemans Drive, south of Cessnock Road, following strong wind gusts.
While access will be maintained, motorists travelling through the area may experience delays while crews are on site and are kindly asked to follow traffic control directions and drive to the conditions.
Council expects the road to be cleared by this afternoon.
Residents across Lake Macquarie are encouraged to exercise caution on the roads, allow extra travel time where possible and remain alert for debris, fallen branches and changing conditions.
