Cricket legends shine a light on mental health in rural NSW

Cricket legends have partnered with the Centre for Rural Remote Mental Health to deliver mental health workshops, cricket clinics for budding sports stars and celebrity cricket matches.

The 2018 – 2019 Baggy Blues Tour will visit:

  • Lismore on 25 October 2018
  • Dubbo on 22 November 2018
  • Griffith on 6 December 2018
  • Bega on 21 February 2019.

The NSW Government will invest $120,000 and partner with the Baggy Blues for this tour. The government will also provide $6.3 million over the next two years to boost support for rural mental health.

Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional NSW John Barilaro said these games will not only be great entertainment but an important avenue for our rural mental health teams to deliver life-saving messages.

"We are in the grip of the worst drought this State has seen in decades and the NSW Government will keep supporting affected communities," Mr Barilaro said.
