Crime Stoppers caller sought as inquiries continue after firearms stolen near Albury, NSW

Detectives are appealing for a Crime Stoppers caller to get in touch about information provided after 17 firearms were stolen during a break-in of a home in the state’s south this week, NSW Police say.

Sometime between Saturday morning (30 September 2017) and Monday night (2 October 2017), a home on River Street, Corowa, about 60km west of Albury, was broken into while the occupants were away.

Seventeen firearms, including eight rifles, two shotguns, two revolvers, four pistols, an air rifle, and assorted ammunition were stolen from three secured safes.

Detectives from Albury Local Area Command are investigating the theft of the firearms.

As part of their ongoing investigations, officers continue to follow numerous lines of inquiry provided by members of the public.

In particular, strike force investigators are appealing for a previous caller to Crime Stoppers to come forward again after they provided information this week.
