Critical incident investigators re-appeal for witnesses to Central Railway Station shooting, NSW

Detectives leading the critical incident investigation in the shooting death of a man during a confrontation with police in Sydney CBD last week are seeking to identify further witnesses, NSW Police say.

Police were called to Eddy Avenue, Haymarket, just before 6.45pm last Wednesday (26 July 2017), following reports of an armed robbery at a business near the entrance to Central Railway Station.

Officers arrived soon after. A 30-year-old man was shot and died at the scene.

A critical incident team from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad is investigating all circumstances surrounding the incident.

As part of their on-going investigation, detectives are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with relevant information, and who have not yet spoken to police to make contact as soon as possible.

Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers.
