Cultural Centre information session

Bass Coast Shire Council is holding a community drop-in information session on the Cowes Cultural and Community Centre.

It will be held on Wednesday, 21 July from 5.00pm to 7.00pm at the Cowes Library.

Bass Coast Shire Mayor, Cr Brett Tessari said the session was a good opportunity for people to ask questions and find out more about the latest concept designs for the Centre.

"This project is really important for the Phillip Island community and so we encourage them to come along to this session and ask any questions that they might have," Cr Tessari said.

The redevelopment of the Cowes Cultural and Community Centre involves replacing the existing Centre, to create a dynamic and interactive place that is a source of community pride.

Cr Tessari said that once built, the Centre will bring together the cultural and social aspirations of the community and will draw in visitors to showcase the history and culture of the region.

"It will also provide an incredible facility for a huge range community activities and events," Cr Tessari concluded.
