Culvert Rebuild Starts on Moranding's Three Chain Road

Work will start next week on the reconstruction of an existing culvert on Three Chain Road, Moranding.

The culvert, situated about 2.7km from the Broadford-Kilmore Road, will be reconstructed to ensure the continued safety and reliability of this important access route.

During these works, Three Chain Road will be temporarily closed, with traffic detours in place through Jefferys Lane. Motorists and residents are urged to follow the detour signs and to plan for additional travel time if Three Chain Road is typically part of your route.

The reconstruction project is scheduled to begin on Tuesday 2 April and is expected to last approximately eight weeks. Work on the site will be conducted between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, with potential for additional work to be carried out between 9am and 1pm on Saturdays.

This $260,000 project is funded through Council's 2023/24 Capital Works budget.

Council appreciates our community's understanding and support as we undertake these significant road safety improvements.
