Townsville City Council is asking Cungulla and Giru residents to conserve water as heavy rainfall is forecast for the Haughton River catchment.
Residents should conserve water by limiting their water use to indoor use only and to restrict any outdoor water use until further notice.
Council crews will assess operation of water treatment structures following the forecasted heavy rainfall.
Updates will be posted on the Townsville City Council Facebook page.
