SKM Services' Laverton North site is currently closed.
Cardinia Shire Council's kerbside recycling collections are delivered to SKM Services' Hallam transfer station for subsequent processing at Coolaroo. At present, this site is not impacted by the current closure at SKM Services' Laverton North site.
Cardinia Shire Council is currently liaising with some alternative contractors on possible short-term arrangements, should any further closures arise affecting our sites.
In the long-term, Council has also partnered with 14 other south-eastern Councils on a collaborative procurement process for advanced waste processing solutions.
