Gorilla Glue tube wins Gold Award from the Tube Council.
EVANSVILLE, Ind., October 16, 2025 - Amcor (NYSE: AMCR, ASX: AMC), a global leader in developing and producing responsible packaging solutions, received top accolades in the Household & Industrial category at the Tube Council North America Tube of the Year 2025 Competition. The awards validate how Amcor's tubes help customers' products stand out with consumers and professionals alike through excellence in design, innovation and functionality. The Tube Council presented the Gold Award to Amcor for work on the Gorilla Glue Clear Gel tube, a standout HDPE extruded tube featuring nine-color silkscreen printing with exceptional detail and tight registration. The brand's iconic gorilla image on the tube showcases remarkable craftsmanship. A custom-engineered cap with a metal pin prevents clogging, enhancing usability and requiring retooled capping equipment-a true technical achievement.
As the name suggests, Gorilla brand products are well-known for their incredible strength and toughness. The winning clear-gel tube has a narrow nozzle for precise gel application suitable for adhesion to glass, ceramics, metal and many other surfaces. This 1.75-fluid-ounce tube is a small, convenient size for consumers who are making everyday repairs as well as a handyman or professional on the go.
Amcor also secured the Silver Award for another customer's tube design, also an HDPE extruded tube with five-color dry-offset printing and a protective gloss coating. This coating preserves the integrity of the printed instructions, ensuring legibility even during extended product use. The tube's crisp decoration, solid ink coverage and precise registration reflect Amcor's commitment to quality and highly detailed manufacturing capabilities.
The Tube of the Year competition, hosted by the Tube Council North America, celebrates innovation and excellence in tube packaging. This year's competition featured more than 70 entries judged by a panel of industry experts. The two winning tubes were awarded to Berry Global, which combined with Amcor earlier this year to form an organization with industry-leading innovation and manufacturing capabilities.
"We are proud to be recognized by our industry peers for the outstanding tubes produced at our Easthampton plant, which help our customers' brands win in the marketplace," said Zach Scheller, director of product line for Amcor Rigid Packaging Solutions North America. "These awards reflect our ongoing investment in innovation and our strong partnerships with customers like Gorilla Glue. As part of the new Amcor, we're excited to continue accelerating what's possible."
