Cyclist critical after Ku-Ring-Gai Chase crash, NSW

A cyclist has suffered critical injuries after a crash at Mt Coolah this morning.

Emergency services were called to Ku-Ring-Gai Chase Road after a crash between his cycle and a station wagon (between the Bobbin Head and Kalkari information centres) about 11.15am (Wednesday 2 January 2019).

The cyclist, believed to be aged in his 40s, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and a team from the Careflight Helicopter.

He was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital by paramedics under police escort.

The driver of the station wagon, an 18-year-old man, has been taken for mandatory testing.
