A Chelsea woman struck by a ute in Chelsea on 28 March has died in hospital.
It is alleged a utility struck the 50-year-old cyclist on the Nepean Highway near Chelsea Road about 5.40am.
A 28-year-old Parkdale man has been charged with dangerous driving causing serious injury and failing to render assistance.
The charges will be reviewed and are expected to be upgraded by Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives.
He was bailed to appear in Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 1 August.
