Dalby: AOBH, Dangerous Driving Charges Filed

Police have charged a 22-year-old man following a serious traffic incident at Dalby yesterday afternoon, 21 August.

Around 4.35pm, a man was walking along Orpen Street when it is alleged, he observed a black Mitsubishi Triton dual cab utility travelling at high speed.

It is alleged the man gestured to the male driver to slow down.

The driver made a u-turn and then allegedly drove towards the man striking him with the vehicle before leaving the scene.

A 41-year-old Dalby man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was located by officers a short time later and taken into custody.

A 22-year-old Miles man has been charged with one count each of assault occasioning bodily harm and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

He is due to appear I the Dalby Magistrates Court today.
