Dandenong truck theft

Detectives from Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit are appealing for public assistance following the theft of a truck from a Dandenong South business in June.

Investigators have been told a man gained entry to the Princess Highway depot and stole a 2020 white Mack Granite Tip truck about 11.20pm on 7 June.

The truck, which is valued at over $200,000, was yet to be registered at the time of the theft.

It is believed the man would require sophisticated knowledge of trucks and heavy vehicles to drive off with the vehicle.

Detectives have released CCTV of a man who they believe can assist with their enquiries.

An image of the truck has also been released in the hope that someone can provide information on its current whereabouts.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppervic.com.au.
