Dangerous Driving Appeal At Comet

Police responded to a single-vehicle rollover in Comet in the early hours of this morning, July 17.

Around 12.05am an Isuzu DMax was travelling on the Capricorn Highway when it veered off the road to avoid a white Toyota Hilux utility which was travelling in the opposite direction.

It is alleged the Toyota Hilux had been swerving and crossed the centre lines causing the Isuzu vehicle to take evasive action and rolling. The other vehicle failed to stop.

The driver and sole occupant of the Isuzu, a 25-year-old Emerald man, was transported to Emerald Hospital with minor injuries.

Police are appealing for anyone with information, or dashcam footage to contact Police.
