Police have charged a man with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and other offences following a traffic crash at Narangba yesterday afternoon, Queensland Police say.
It is alleged at about 6pm, a man forcibly entered the vehicle of a woman known to him and prevented her from leaving the vehicle.
The man threatened to harm the woman prior to driving the vehicle at high speeds along Anzac Avenue at Redcliffe, Mango Hill and Northlakes.
It is further alleged the man intentionally crashed the vehicle into a guard rail at Narangba where members of the public have assisted the woman escape from the vehicle.
Police arrested the 31-year-old Bellmere man who was charged with one count each of wilful damage, common assault, unlawful entry of vehicle for committing indictable offence, unlawful use of motor vehicle, deprivation of liberty, threats and dangerous operation of a vehicle.
The woman was transported to Caboolture Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The man will appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court January 22.
