Dangerous operation of a stolen vehicle, Bracken Ridge

Police are investigating after a car was stolen overnight in Bracken Ridge.

At 10.30pm, two unknown men stole a ute from an address on Spencer Street, Bracken Ridge.

As they were driving the ute away from the address, the owner jumped onto the back of the tray as they sped off.

The two offenders have driven the ute, with the man still on the back, around the North Brisbane area for around half an hour and during this time, a coffee cup that was in the ute was thrown at the man and it struck him on the head.

The ute then pulled over on Castle Hill Drive at Murrumba Downs when a small white car pulled in behind the ute.

The man then jumped off the back of the ute and approached the car to seek assistance before both vehicles sped off and were last seen on Dohles Rocks Road.

The man was treated for a minor injury to his head.

Police are appealing for anyone that has seen the ute, a silver coloured Toyota Hilux dual cab (pictured) to contact them.
