Police are appealing for public assistance to identify two dirt bike riders as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged dangerous riding incidents in Moranbah.
Just after 5:30pm on 22 September, police observed two dirt bikes travelling along Tallon Street. It is alleged the bikes were being operated dangerously.
Police then sighted the dirt bikes on Mills Avenue and attempted an intercept, but the riders fled.
Moranbah officers are urging anyone who may have witnessed the dirt bikes in the vicinity of Tallon Street and Mills Avenue at the time of the alleged offences, to contact police.
Community members are encouraged to continue reporting this kind of activity to police. Information provided by the public can assist police to identify offenders and target resources to areas of concern.
Moranbah Police have established Operation PEEWEE in response to the escalation of unlawful operation of dirt bike offences, taking a zero-tolerance approach to repeat offenders.
Investigations are ongoing.
