Key Facts:
- Daniel Craig's grey Tom Ford suit from *Skyfall* sold at auction for approximately $48,000, but a Sydney tailor says the look can be commissioned for as little as $2,375.
- The suit sold alongside its shirt, tie, and cufflinks at Propstore's James Bond memorabilia auction, which closed on 27 October 2026.
- Scott Grant, Senior Tailor at Lupo Bianco, describes the suit as a mid-weight 270-gram worsted wool in a classic sharkskin (pick-and-pick) weave, featuring notch lapels, a Milanese buttonhole, and cuffed trouser hems.
- Lupo Bianco has priced two versions of the suit: an entry-level build using merino wool at $2,375, and a top-end build using Scabal Noble Fleece at $16,525.
- Grant notes that fit is the key factor in making a suit look expensive, saying it matters far more than the label inside it.

Lupo Bianco's senior tailor breaks down what it costs to commission 007's Skyfall suit, from entry-level merino to a $16,525 Scabal build
SYDNEY, 4 November 2026 - A grey Tom Ford suit worn by Daniel Craig in Skyfall sold at auction last week for about $48,000, but a Sydney tailor says Australians can commission the same look for as little as $2,375.
The suit, worn in the film's opening chase through Istanbul, sold with its shirt, tie and cufflinks for £25,200 (about $48,000) at Propstore's James Bond memorabilia auction, which closed on 27 October.
"Most of what a buyer pays for at auction is the history, not the cloth," said Scott Grant, Senior Tailor at Lupo Bianco Suits. "You can reproduce the look and the quality for a fraction of that price. An exact replica and an original piece with real provenance are two very different propositions."
According to Grant, the suit is cut from a mid-weight 270-gram worsted wool in a classic sharkskin weave, also known as pick-and-pick.
To get the look, Grant says to ask your tailor for:
- Jacket: notch lapels with a Milanese buttonhole, straight flap pockets, a single vent and three functional "kissing" buttons on each sleeve
- Trousers: two rear pockets, side-adjuster tabs at the waist and cuffed hems
Lupo Bianco priced two versions of the suit.

"Bond's suit isn't loose and it isn't baggy. It's fitted to his body to give shape where it counts," Grant said. "That fit is what makes a suit look expensive, far more than the label inside it."
