'Dear Accounting Officer' letters provide advice on accountability, regularity, propriety, value for money and annual accounting exercises.
This DAO provides supplementary guidance on the procedures that should be followed in respect of informing the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) and the Comptroller and Auditor General (C&AG) as part of the process for determining whether to seek or renew a super-injunction. Both the PAC and the C&AG expect the C&AG to be informed of any matter with potential material financial consequences so that they may determine the significance of such information for their statutory audit responsibilities.
