Darlinghurst assault, three charged, NSW

Three men have been charged following an alleged assault in Darlinghurst this morning, NSW Police say.

Emergency services were called to Oxford Street about 3.10am today, and found a 25-year-old man in the street with head injuries.

He was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital where he was treated for facial cuts and bruising.

Three men were arrested nearby and taken to Surry Hills Police Station.

A 21-year-old man, from Bexley, has now been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and affray. He was bail refused to appear in Parramatta Bail Court today.

A 21-year-old man, from Campbelltown, has been charged with possess a prohibited drug, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and affray.

A 20-year-old man, from Smithfield, has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and affray.

Those two men have been granted conditional bail to appear in Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday 20 April 2017.
