Northern Territory Police have arrested a 65-year-old man in Darwin after the car he was driving struck a woman.
About 05:40 pm yesterday the Joint Emergency Services Communications Centre received a report of a car versus pedestrian crash at a hotel in the Darwin northern suburb of Jingili.
Casuarina general duties officers attended the incident, which was captured on CCTV, and arrested the alleged offender at the scene.
It is alleged that the driver intentionally ran over the 38-year-old woman, who is known to him.
The man remains in police custody and is expected to be charged with Recklessly Endanger Serious Harm later today.
The victim was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital by St John Ambulance where she was being treated for a suspected broken leg.
