Darwin Police Arrest Suspects After Stolen Vehicle Pursuit

Northern Territory Police have arrested 4 youths after an incident involving a stolen motor vehicle early Sunday morning.

Around 4:30am, police received reports that 4 males unlawfully entered a residence on Dashwood Crescent, stealing a Toyota Aurion.

Strike Force Trident with the assistance of Dog Operations Unit located the offenders with the stolen vehicle which resulted in a pursuit throughout the northern suburbs.

Tyre deflation devices were successfully deployed and the stolen vehicle came to a stop in Anula. The 4 offenders were apprehended after a series of foot chases. Three youths, aged 16 and one aged 15, received multiple charges including:

  • Aggravated robbery
  • Theft
  • Driving, Using/Riding motor vehicle without consent
  • Driving vehicle dangerous manner pursuit

The offenders remain in custody and are expected to face court later today.

Northern Territory Police continue to urge members of the public to report crime or anti-social behaviour to 131 444 or 000 in an emergency.
