Day and night works around George Chaffey Bridge, Mildura

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions around George Chaffey Bridge over the Murray River between Mildura and Buronga, as essential maintenance is carried out.
Work includes vegetation maintenance, replacing bolts and pins, repairing joints and patching the bridge deck and footpath to ensure the crossing remains safe and operational.
Work will be carried out in a combination of day and night work.
Day work will be carried out between 7am and 6pm from Tuesday 19 August to Friday 29 August, weather permitting.
Night work will be carried out between 8pm and 4am from Tuesday 2 September to Friday 12 September, weather permitting.
Day work will include a reduced 30 km/h speed limit while night work will involve a single lane closure, traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 30 km/h for the safety of workers and motorists.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, follow the directions of signs and traffic control and allow up to 10 minutes' additional travel time during night work.
