Death at Whyalla caravan park, South Australia

Police are preparing a report for the State Coroner following the death of a man at Whyalla Norrie today.

Police and emergency services were called to a tourist park on Broadbent Terrace about 9.45am on Thursday 13 December after reports of a possible fire in one of the cabins.

The cabin was not on fire when MFS crews arrived but once the smoke-logged cabin was cleared, police discovered the body of a 50-year-old South Perth man.

Fire Cause Investigators are attending the scene to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident however the man's death is not deemed to be suspicious.
