The Ethical Standards Command is investigating the death of a man at the Brisbane City Watchhouse on 19 July.
The 41-year-old Zillmere man was arrested at a Morningside residence on 16 July in relation to an outstanding warrant and was transported to the Brisbane City Watchhouse.
At approximately 5pm on 19 July, the man become unresponsive.
Watchhouse and nursing staff rendered first aid before other emergency services arrived, however the man was declared deceased at approximately 6pm.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the man's death.
This matter remains under investigation by the Ethical Standards Command on behalf of the State Coroner, with independent oversight by the Crime and Corruption Commission.
