On July 7, 2022, Robert Ramm, an inmate from Millhaven Institution's Regional Treatment Centre, died while in our custody of apparent natural causes.
At the time of death, the inmate had been serving a sentence of 39 years, 4 months and 15 days, which commenced on January 26, 1987, for aggravated sexual assault.
The inmate's next of kin have been notified.
As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) will review the circumstances. CSC policy requires that the coroner be notified.
