Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members are central to creating a safer, stronger future for all Canadians. Today, CAF members and their families are seeing meaningful progress in recognizing their service.
This summer, the Government of Canada delivered a comprehensive update to military compensation and benefits-the most significant in decades. This update benefits members of the Regular Force and the Reserve Force, including the Canadian Rangers and the Cadet Organizations Administration and Training Service.
Today, members received their pay increase-retroactive to April 1, 2025-directly in their bank accounts. This marks an important milestone, and it's only the beginning. Over the coming months, we will continue rolling out the additional initiatives we announced in August.
These measures are about more than an increase in pay and benefits, they are about demonstrating respect and recognizing the sacrifices made, day in and day out, by the brave and selfless CAF members who work tirelessly in the service of their country. They also reaffirm our commitment to the people who wear the uniform and to their families, and whose strength and support are vital to Canada's defence.
To all those who serve, and to the families who stand with them-your commitment, courage, and sacrifice embody the very best of Canada. These overdue enhancements to your compensation and benefits reflect the deep respect and gratitude our country holds for your service.
