The Albanese Government is delivering on its commitment for a further 50 Medicare Urgent Care Clinics with a tender process underway from 22 August 2025 to identify a provider to operate the Tweed Valley clinic. This new clinic will give more Australians access to high quality and free walk-in urgent health care.
The new Tweed Valley Medicare Urgent Care Clinic will be open over extended hours, seven days a week, with no appointment needed, and all patients will be fully bulk billed.
The clinic is intended to take pressure off Tweed Valley Hospital and will fill an important gap in services across extended hours and over the weekend.
A tender process led by the North Coast Primary Health Network has commenced to identify a provider to operate the new Tweed Valley Medicare Urgent Care Clinic within the Tweed region.
