JAMA Network

About The Study: The findings of this study suggest that dementia prevalence is rising across several Latin American settings, contrasting with declining trends in high-income countries. These findings, while specific to 5 studied sites, highlight the growing and uneven burden of dementia in the region and underscore the need for strengthened surveillance, risk reduction strategies, and investment in dementia care infrastructure.
