Deputy Secretary of Defense Dr. Kathleen Hicks spoke via secure video call today with her UK counterpart, Permanent Under Secretary for the Ministry of Defence Mr. David Williams.
The two leaders discussed Russia's unprovoked, unjustified, and pre-meditated attack on Ukraine, and expressed their unwavering support for Ukraine's people, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
They also discussed ongoing strategic planning efforts and said they looked forward to convening the U.S.-UK Defense Dialogue later this year.
