Heavy rainfall and high tides have caused the Fitzroy River levels to rise, with water expected to be over sections the Derby Street and Archer Street car parks tomorrow.
As a precaution, Rockhampton Regional Council will temporarily close the car parks from 6am tomorrow, Tuesday 13 January.
Council crews will reassess the situation on Thursday and provide an update regarding the reopening of the car parks.
