Designer handbags stolen in Melbourne

Melbourne East police are hoping to identify two women after designer handbags worth more than $7000 were stolen in Melbourne's CBD on 27 October.

Police have been told two unknown women entered a department store on Bourke Street just before 2pm.

The thieves stole three Gucci handbags located on the ground floor and fled the scene.

Investigators have released images of two women believed to be aged in their 20s in the hope someone may have information.
