Detectives charge fourth person after death of Kobie Parfitt

Missing Person Squad detectives have today charged a fourth person following the death of Ballarat woman Kobie Parfitt.

A 31-year-old Mount Clear woman has been charged with one count of murder.

She will appear at Ballarat Magistrates' Court tomorrow.

Three other people have already been charged in relation to Kobie's death:

- a 35-year-old man, who is currently at a correctional facility, was charged last week

- a 32-year-old woman, who is currently at a correctional facility, was charged last month

- a 31-year-old Wendouree man was charged in December

Police located human remains in a mine shaft in Snake Valley on 22 December while they were searching the area as part of the investigation into Kobie's disappearance.

Kobie, 43, was last been seen alive at a Hickman Street property on 28 April.

The investigation remains ongoing but police are not looking for any other persons in relation to this matter.
