Detectives investigate armed robbery at Spotswood

Hobsons Bay detectives are appealing for assistance from the public following an armed robbery in Spotswood last week.

Officers have been told an unknown man wearing a balaclava entered a supermarket on Hudsons Road on Thursday 13 July about 6.30pm.

He threatened staff members with a kitchen knife before stealing alcohol and cigarettes from behind the counter.

The man was last seen heading towards the Spotswood Railway Station.

No one was physically injured.

Investigators have released images and CCTV footage of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquires.
