Detectives investigate Frankston aggravated burglary

Police are investigating an aggravated burglary at an address in Frankston on Wednesday (29 August), Victoria Police say.

Investigators have been told a man attempted to gain entry to the Caley street home about 5pm.

The offender broke a glass door and armed himself with a piece of glass before threatening the occupants.

A 38-year-old man who was home at the time, pushed the offender back preventing him from gaining entry to the house.

He fled on foot empty handed.

Two other female occupants, a 19-year-old and 37-year-old, who were also home at the time, were uninjured.

The man is described as aged in his late 20’s – early 30’s.

He is perceived to be Islander-Maori in appearance and approximately 177cm tall with dark hair and was wearing long sleeved dark t-shirt, dark colour pants and dark shoes.
