Detectives release CCTV as inquiries continue into Condell Park shooting

Detectives from the Criminal Groups Squad have released CCTV vision of a man they would like to speak to and a vehicle of interest as they continue to investigate a shooting in Sydney's south west earlier this year.

Just before 2am on Monday 21 January 2019, a 33-year-old man was approached by an unknown man and shot in the driveway of a home on Dalton Avenue, Condell Park.

The unknown man left the area in a late model white Toyota Corolla hatch which was waiting nearby.

It was last seen travelling towards Jocarm Avenue.

A short time later, the injured man attended Bankstown Hospital where he received treatment for two gunshot wounds to his shoulder and arm. He has since been released from hospital.

Specialist forensic officers examined the Dalton Avenue scene and several items were seized.

Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command investigated the circumstances surrounding the shooting, before it was referred to detectives from the State Crime Command's Criminal Groups Squad under Strike Force Waincourt.

The person is depicted as male, between 180cm-190cm tall, of large build, and wearing dark shorts, a white t-shirt, dark hooded vest with white motif on the back, and dark runners with white soles.

In addition, they are also seeking information about the vehicle depicted in the CCTV vision.

Anyone who knows the man or has any information about the vehicle is urged to come forward.

Investigations under Strike Force Waincourt continue.
