Detectives Seek Tips on Auburn Kebab Shop Shooting

Criminal Groups Squad detectives investigating a public place shooting at an Auburn kebab shop have released CCTV as they appeal for public assistance.

Just after 1.10pm on Monday 16 June 2025, officers from Auburn Police Area Command were called to South Parade after two men wearing face coverings entered a kebab shop and fired eight shots.

The pair then fled the scene in a dark blue Audi Q7 bearing cloned numberplates.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated three people at the scene for gunshot wounds before they were taken to hospital.

A 26-year-old man suffered wounds to his shoulder and arm, a 47-year-old woman was shot four times in the torso, and a 25-year-old man was shot in the face.

All three victims have since been released from hospital, but the 47-year-old woman and the 25-year-old man are expected to face long-term complications as a result of their injuries.

Three cars were subsequently found burnt out on Wigram Street in Harris Park, Hilltop Road in Merrylands and Gerald Street in Greystanes.

Crime scenes were established at all relevant locations, and the matter was referred to Taskforce Falcon under Strike Force Caljie.

As part of ongoing inquiries, strike force detectives have released CCTV as they appeal for public assistance to progress their investigation.

The CCTV shows a dark blue Audi Q7 arriving at Main Lane in Merrylands about 12pm on Monday 16 June 2026. It is believed the Audi travelled from the Guildford area.

The Audi is then captured again in Auburn, before parking on Auburn Road at approximately 1.10pm.

Two men are seen leaving their vehicle and entering the kebab shop, before fleeing the scene minutes later.

The Audi was found alight in Harris Park later that day.

As inquiries continue, police are appealing for anyone who may have information about the identity of the two men to come forward.
