Devonport community invited to submit ideas

Devonport City Council Tasmania

Devonport City Council is encouraging residents to have their say and put forward their ideas for projects and initiatives as part of the 2022/23 budget consultation process.

Devonport Mayor Annette Rockliff said the annual consultation process gives the community an opportunity to share their ideas directly with Council to be considered for future projects.

"We know our Devonport community members are passionate about what happens in their city, we see that every day through many platforms. This is a great chance for those who are keen to have their say and put forward their ideas," Cr Rockliff said.

"Seeking the community's input is an important part of our annual budget process and all suggestions made will be considered by Council as part of the annual budgeting cycle.

"Head along to our Speak Up Devonport webpage on Council's website with your suggestions, which can help shape the delivery of City projects and infrastructure."

Cr Rockliff said the budget consultation had proven successful in the past with projects such as the Figure of Eight Creek bridge at Woodrising, which was initiated through the process.
