Devonport Cup behaviour

Police were generally pleased with crowd behaviour at this year's Devonport Cup and later in the Devonport CBD.

Acting Inspector Martin Parker said that no one was arrested at the venue and people attending complied with COVID-19 conditions.

"Patron numbers were reduced this year due to COVID-19 restrictions, but considering there were approximately 2500 people in attendance, crowd behaviour was excellent," Acting Inspector Parker said.

A drug diversion was issued to one person who consumed cannabis as they were leaving the racecourse.
