Saturday lotto is proudly played across Australia under the brands Gold Lotto, Lotto, TattsLotto and X Lotto, bringing winning moments to players nationwide.
A TattsLotto ticket left languishing on the kitchen table has delivered a Devonport man a $1.2 million surprise.
The Tasmanian held one of the five division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4661, drawn Saturday 21 March 2026 and can look forward to $1,260,098.55.
As the ticket wasn't registered to The Lott Members Club, we had been unable to contact the elusive winner. Instead, they had been eagerly waiting for the ticketholder to check their ticket and come forward.
"It's kept me awake overnight," the wining man laughed when speaking to us this morning.
"It's funny as I got two tickets the other day - a syndicate ticket and this one. I checked both on the night and initially thought I hadn't won anything so left it on the table.
"It was only yesterday when I heard that someone had won in the area that I scanned the ticket.
"I couldn't believe it.
"You always hear about unclaimed winning tickets, and this was one of them.
"I can't comprehend it at the moment.
"I didn't sleep a lot last night. I was just running scenarios through my mind.
"It just allows us to build a nest egg for the future.
"Security is the word."
The man's winning entry was purchased at Centre Newsagency & Lotto, Woolworths Arcade, 74 Best Street, Devonport.
Centre Newsagency & Lotto owner Sourav Kumar shared his team was thrilled beyond measure for their division one winner.
"We're stoked! It's hard to wrap our heads around the fact we've sold two division one tickets in just six months," he said.
"We've kicked off decorating the shop and spreading the winning news to everyone who walks in. Our customers are going to be chuffed when they hear about it!"
