Devonport Seizure: Youth Charged With Trafficking by Police

A youth has been charged with trafficking and a second youth will be proceeded against for selling a controlled drug after police seized quantities of ice, ecstasy, cannabis, counterfeit cash, and a number of firearms during a targeted search in Devonport.

Members of the Western Drug and Firearms Unit and the Dog Handlers Unit executed a search warrant at a private residence this morning, locating the illicit substances, nearly $27,000 in counterfeit bills, and three gel blasters.

A 17-year-old boy was charged with multiple offences including trafficking in a controlled substance and possess an illegal firearm.

A 16-year-old boy will be proceeded against under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act for multiple offences including selling, possessing and using a controlled drug.
