Diesel theft from BP Lauderdale, TAS

Police are investigating the reported theft of approximately 2000 litres of diesel fuel from the BP service station overnight Saturday 9 December 2017, Tasmania Police say.

The theft was discovered early morning Sunday 10 December 2017.  It appears the offender/s have siphoned the fuel from large storage tanks onsite.  A small tanker or truck with storage tanks is likely to have been used in the crime.  Given the amount of fuel taken, the vehicle would have been onsite for a lengthy period of time.

Police are appealing for anyone with information about this matter to call or make contact.  Police are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who saw a tanker, light truck or similar vehicles in the area at the time.

Information can be provided anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers.
