Dignified Transfer of Remains for Bombardier Patrick Labrie

The remains of Bombardier Patrick Labrie of the 2nd Regiment, Royal Canadian Horse Artillery, based in Petawawa, Ontario, are scheduled to return home to Canada on Saturday, June 22, 2019.

When: Saturday, June 22, at approx. 8 p.m.

Where: Canada Reception Centre, Hangar 11, Ottawa MacDonald-Cartier International Airport.

What: Bombardier Patrick Labrie died from injuries that were sustained during parachute training on Exercise SWIFT RESPONSE 19 in Bulgaria on June 17, 2019.

Media are invited to attend the arrival of the remains at the Canada Reception Centre. Immediately following the ceremony, the family will make a statement to media but will not be available for questions.

Lieutenant-Colonel Dan Matheson, Commanding Officer of 2nd Regiment, Royal Canadian Horse Artillery, and other military members will be present to pay their respects.
