Disqualified driver charged after vehicle stop - Lindfield

A man, who is disqualified from driving until 2051, will appear in court today charged with multiple traffic offences.

Just before 8pm yesterday (Wednesday 16 September 2020), police stopped a Kia sedan on the Pacific Highway at Lindfield.

The driver, a 39-year-old Junee man, was arrested and taken to Hornsby Police Station where a revocation of parole warrant was executed, and he was charged with;

  • Three counts of drive motor vehicle during disqualification period
  • Police pursuit – not stop – drive dangerously
  • Drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous
  • Drive conveyance taken without consent of owner

Police will allege in court the man was also involved in a pursuit with officers from Kuring Gai Police Area Command on Tuesday 12 August 2020, while driving a stolen vehicle.

He was refused bail to appear before Hornsby Local Court today (Thursday 17 September 2020).
