Distinctive vehicle stolen during Wistow robbery, South Australia

Police are investigating a robbery at Wistow where a distinctive car was stolen.

About midnight on Friday 14 May, a man returned his home on Wellington Road to find two men in the process of stealing his car which was parked in a locked shed.

The home owner confronted the two men and was subsequently assaulted. The victim believes there may have been more people present at the time. He was taken to the Mt Barker Hospital for treatment of a head injury.

The victim's Holden Torana was then loaded on to a car trailer possibly being towed by a 4WD with a high clearance.

Pictured is the stolen 1973 gold Holden Torana with SA registration RZE650. Anyone who sees the stolen car or knows of its whereabouts is asked to contact the police assistance line on 131 444.
