Dog of missing man Jeremy Boyden sighted near Dargo

Police can confirm a white and brown Jack Russell seen in the Dargo area on Sunday afternoon belongs to missing man Jeremy Boyden.

It is understood a man four-wheel driving near Dargo High Plains Road saw the white and brown Jack Russell who answers to the name of Rocky, on Sunday about 4pm.

He did not stop to collect the dog as he was unaware of the search at the time.

Police are continuing to search for missing man Jeremy Boyden after he went missing in the Wongungarra area on Friday 19 July.

The 23-year-old Ferntree Gully man was last seen on Dargo High Plains Road, near Bicentennial track, north of Dargo about 5pm.

The search commenced at 7.30am this morning with police on dirt bikes, local police, Search and Rescue, Air Wing, Operational Response Unit, Mounted Branch and Canine Unit, assisted by SES and Bush Search and Rescue.

Police and family have concerns for Jeremy's welfare due to the length he has been missing.

He was last seen wearing a green and gold jumper and blue tracksuit pants and is believed to be only wearing one runner.

Investigators believe he was in the company of the dog when he went missing.

Police have released images of Jeremy in the hope that someone can provide information on his whereabouts.
