Dog Park Upgrade: Bayside 17 September

Council is upgrading the off-leash dog area at High Street Reserve in Mascot.

The first step to improving this popular dog park is to level the area and install kikuyu turf.

Council is also trialing TR4, a new grass reinforcement mesh product made of recycled plastic, that will help stabilise the soil while allowing the turf to strengthen and grow.

The TR4 recycled plastic mesh will be pinned over the designated area to support the new turf as it grows through, before it is mowed in about 6 weeks.

It suitable for dog areas and designed to disappear into the grass creating a reinforced, natural looking grassed area that can be easily maintained all year round.

Once this process is completed the area will be re-opened.
