Domestic Violence Charges At Mount Perry

Police have charged a 33-year-old man after a police incident in Mount Perry yesterday, May 18.

Emergency services were called at 3.41am to a Shand Street address in relation to a man making threats and alleged Domestic Violence (DV) offences against a woman known to him.

Upon arrival, police will allege the man was in a Prime Mover cab and making threats to police. Police immobilised the truck and arrested a 33-year-old Mount Perry man.

The man has been charged with 10 offences including assault, wilful damage and DV related offences.

He has been refused police bail and is due to appear in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court today, May 19.

An emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) was established at 5.22am and revoked at 10pm.

No one was injured in the incident.
